Mommy Mondays: Childproofing your home

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - We are focusing on something all parents of toddlers need to do: baby proofing! Child Proof Coach Jay Martel show us how it's done.

Here are seven cost free child proofing safety measures:

1. Throw towel over top of doors

2. Tape wires along the baseboard

3. Don't have any hot beverages

4. Move plants up or out

5. Move furniture in front of electrical outlets

6. Get rid of knick knacks

7. GFI outlets on kitchen islands can be turned off
