WTNH News 8 Welcomes Erica Grow

New Haven, Conn. - WTNH News 8 is proud to welcome the newest member of Storm Team 8, Erica Grow. She will be joining the anchor team of Sara Welch and Don Lark on weekend evening newscasts at 6, 10 and 11pm. Grow’s first day will be Saturday the 16th.

“Erica is an experienced, respected and dynamic meteorologist and we’re excited to have her join Storm Team 8,” said John Bell, Managing Editor of News 8. “With Dr. Mel, Steve MacLaughlin, Gil Simmons, Steve Villanueva, and now Erica, we have the most talented collection of weather professionals in Connecticut broadcasting.”

Grow comes to News 8 from WPVI, Philadelphia’s ABC station. She has also worked at television stations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Midland, Texas. Just like her new Storm Team 8 colleague, Dr. Mel, Grow received her degree in Meteorology from Penn State University.
