WTNH MOVING TO CHANNEL 8 FOR COMCAST CUSTOMERS IN BRANFORD AND NEW HAVEN AREAS

New Haven, Conn. -  

On Tuesday, October 23, WTNH will be repositioned from channel 7 to channel 8 for Comcast customers in the Branford and New Haven areas. This move is occurring to create a consistent and natural channel location for the popular broadcast station across Connecticut. 

Comcast is notifying customers of this change through a bill message announcing the channel reposition. WTNH is also proactively informing its viewers of the new channel location by running channel crawls, posting information on the WTNH website and highlighting the change during newscasts.

In the Branford area, Home Shopping Network, which was previously located on channel 8, will switch locations with WTNH, which was on channel 7.  In the New Haven area, WTNH will simply move from channel 7 to channel 8.

Comcast’s Branford area includes the communities of: Branford, East Haven, Guilford, Madison, North Branford, North Haven and Wallingford. The New Haven area includes: Hamden, New Haven and West Haven.
