Christy’s on Orange hosts its inaugural charity golf tournament to raise money for The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. The tournament is Christy’s latest effort to give back to the greater New Haven community. The Camp, which is located in Ashford, CT but retains a development office in New Haven, is a non-profit residential summer camp and year-round outreach center for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. All of the proceeds from “Christy’s Golfing with the Gang Tournament” will support this strong mission.

The tournament committee welcomes individual entries, foursomes, and sponsors. Christy has generously offered to display the names of the tournament’s top sponsors in his restaurant throughout the year. Immediately following the tournament, a celebration will take place at Christy’s, featuring live music, a raffle, an auction, complimentary food and an open bar.

Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Ashford, Connecticut is a nonprofit summer camp serving children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. Its year-round programs, including outreach to hospitals and clinics and weekend programs for children, families and caregivers, serve more than 15,000 annually. The Camp’s Hospital Outreach Program serves seriously ill youngsters in sixteen hospital and clinic settings around the northeast, including the Yale-New Haven Hospital and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. All of the Camp’s services are provided free of charge.
