Greater Bridgeport Community Enterprises (CBCE) is a nonprofit community development corporation dedicated to developing new businesses and jobs in the growing green economy. By providing job training and placement for underserved Bridgeport residents, CBCE assists families from the city's lowest income neighborhoods in achieving self-sufficiency. By helping create a more environmentally sustainable community, CBCE is a driving force for social good, as well as economic and neighborhood development.
CBCE has developed two green nonprofits enterprises: The Green team - a westernization, hazards remediation and deconstruction business, as well as Park City Green - a mattress materials recycling enterprise. These new programs, along with job training and placement for low income, unemployed residents has infused $3.1 million into the city's struggling neighborhoods.
