Tails still wag despite less volunteers

North Haven (WTNH) - Charities and volunteer programs across the state are coping with drops in funding and volunteerism. Animal shelters have been hit particularly hard.

Animal Haven in North Haven has seen a drop in its adult volunteers over the past few years, but a rise in teens stepping forward to help out at the shelter.

News Channel 8's Lisa DiVirgilio visited Animal Haven to find out just how pivotal volunteers were in keeping the no-kill shelter afloat.
