Wednesday's Child - Alex

(WTNH) - Alex is a teenager who loves to sing and play sports and she's ready come home to her own family.

When we met Alex, she was curious about how we do the news, so we decided to give her a behind the scenes tour. The news is just one of her interests. Like any typical teenage girl, she loves to shop with friends, but she also runs cross country and she recently signed up for boxing. Her real passion though is singing, and she hopes to turn it into a career some day.

During her tour at News Channel 8, Alex got a crash course in meteorology from Geoff Fox. And we all soon learned that she is quick with a smile and has an infectious laugh.

"I am very talkative, and my laugh is very outrageous," she said.

Cynthia Putney is Alex's social worker and calls her vivacious.

"Great zest for life, she's just a great teenager. I love having her on my caseload," Cynthia said.

Cynthia thinks Alex would do well in a single family household.

"She really wants a single mom. I think she relates to women better than men," she said.
