(WTNH) - This week's Wednesday's Child has some big dreams, but first he needs to find a family.

12-year old Ricki spent an afternoon at Big Frank's Barbeque & Grill in Waterbury, learning how to prepare one of his favorite foods - chicken wings.

Ricki loves school, playing football, video games and basketball. He even hopes to be a NBA star one day.

"He has an amazing smile and an amazing sense of wanting to be in the game," said his social worker, Mary Dean.

Mary says Ricki would do best as the youngest child in his new family, and keeping in contact with brother Jordan is also very important.

"Ricki wants a family. Ricki wants a family that's going to be an active family and a fun family," Mary said.
