17th Annual Fantasy of Lights

(WTNH) - Easter Seals Goodwill holds the 17th Annual Fantasy of Lights.

The Fantasy of Lights is held at New Haven's Lighthouse Point Park running from Friday November 18, 2011 through Saturday, January 7th 2012.

The Fantasy of Lights will run a week longer so it will be open on Three Kings Day, which is celebrated on January 6th, twelve days after Christmas and often viewed as the last day of the Christmas season.

Fantasy of Lights is Easter Seals Goodwill Industries largest fundraiser, with over 10,000 cars and more than 100,000 people traveling from Connecticut, New England and the Tri-State area to enjoy over 60 festive light displays.

The Title Sponsor is PSEG Power Connecticut and many area businesses and individuals sponsor our light displays. A different group of volunteers come out and help run the event every night.

Many of the displays have gone green, using new, energy-saving LED bulbs.

This year, there are two new light displays. A beautiful Nativity Scene, which is over 60 feet long, has been sponsored by The Knights of Columbus and Honeywell Fire Systems has sponsored a new festive Santa and Fire Dog display.
