(WTNH) -- The 17th Annual Greater New Haven Pizza Fest benefits The Connection Fund.
Head over to the New Haven Green for a pizza lunch during the International Festival of Arts & Ideas free lunchtime concerts. Pizza will be served on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 1:30 p.m.
$6 gets you a slices of pizza, a soda and an Italian ice.
Pizza Fest is a wonderful community builder and is also a pathway to recovery for many clients of The Connection, a nonprofit Human Services and Community Development agency that provides services in the areas of supportive housing, women and children, behavioral health, and community justice.
The event provides the opportunity not only to be connected with the community, but also to work or volunteer at the event.
Since 1972 The Connection has been a leader in creating community-based treatment programs. The company has more than 38 programs across the state.
