Artists for World Peace

(WTNH) - Artists for World Peace celebrates 10 years.

Artists for World Peace is a non profit fund-raising and grant-making foundation located in Middletown, Conn. They create opportunities for artists to work for social justice and help raise funds to benefit humanitarian causes internationally.

It all started with The International Peace Belt in 2003. Inspired by the Euro transition and out of circulation coins, jewelry designer, Wendy Black-Nasta designed and created TIPB incorporating coins and gemstones from every country of the world. Since 2003, TIPB has been traveling the world; they have been to 25 countries on 5 continents.

Join them for the Dance for Peace Fundraiser on Saturday, June 2 at 7 p.m. at the Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford. The evening will feature 8 dance companies, catered food and wine, and an art marketplace. Auction items include Cape Cod vacation home, Theatre tickets, and more.
