Laura Wellington, author of "The Four-Star Diet: Based Upon The Wisdom Of General Colin Powell & Other Ridiculously Brilliant Leaders" ( www.thefourstardiet.com ), was in the studio to talk to Jocelyn Maminta about her newly released book and how it exploded onto the scene and went viral in two weeks of its release date.
Laura, mother of 5 children, originally began her career as a preschool teacher but after her husband passed away, she took over the two technology firms that they had created together and turned them into successes during one of the hardest economic times in our countries history. Then Laura launched another company with a few partners and created ‘The Wumblers’, a teaching tool utilized in elementary and preschools across the country.
Her book’s inspiration came from a combination of her own struggles to lose weight after pregnancy, and her proven business savvy, coupled with a presentation created General Colin Powell to mold leaders on the battlefield and in boardrooms.
This book ( www.thefourstardiet.com ) arms readers with the necessary artillery to find lasting happiness as the leaders in their own lives while enjoying four-star faire with the confidence and control of a four-star general.
We want you to be a part of Good Morning Connecticut. Send us a video greeting!
