New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - Carla Victoria Wallace visits CT Style to discuss her first novel, Love Never Fails, which was released on February 14th by Nevaeh Publishing.
It's a contemporary, inspirational fiction. The story focuses around Jada, a black woman who is being pursued by two different men. One of her pursuers is Mike, a black man from her childhood, and the other is Pete a white man. The novel explores the internal and external challenges of relationships and dating outside of one’s race.
When asked what her inspiration for writing the novel was, Wallace said, "The joys and challenges that come with loving the people in our lives. For example, when a couple gets together, they bring their own backgrounds, experiences, and families into the relationship. This dynamic gave me inspiration for writing this novel."
Wallace said the novel is unique because, "it is not your typical romance novel. It deals with issues such as race relations, and single parenthood."
The novel can be found in Bookstores such as Barnes and Noble, and online at www.barnesandnoble.com and www.amazon.com .
Her next event will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Borders Bookstore in Milford, CT. She will be signing copies of Love Never Fails from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
