Jewels in Our Midst

(WTNH) - David Fryburg is the author of a book of photography and poetry, "Jewels in Our Midst," which celebrates the natural beauty of East Lyme, CT. The work is dedicated to the community of East Lyme and to Care & Share of East Lyme.

Jewels in Our Midst will be presented at the East Lyme Community Center on Wednesday August 3rd at 7 pm. Books and prints will be for sale and the profits will go to Care & Share.

Care & Share of East Lyme was formed in 1989. It is a non profit, all volunteer charity which provides emergency food and financial assistance to residents of East Lyme and Salem. Approximately 250 families have received assistance since last winter. C&S also provides special food, clothing and gift assistance during the winter holidays in addition to scholarships and camperships. Care & Share has about 80 active volunteers.
