Autism Speaks is holding a fundraiser and attempting to break the World Guinness Records for the largest Dodgeball Game.
Neil Richardson the founder of "Go On Dodgeball" has created Dodgeball tournaments in the Northeast while raising money for charities, such as AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc of New Haven, CT, Hope for Haiti and Autism Speaks.
Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Autism Speaks has grown into the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The Dodgeball events will include great entertainment such as a Drill Teams, Clowns, Musical Groups, Dancers and Celebrities that brings a carnival-like atmosphere.
The tournament will be on October 23 at 6pm, at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, formerly the New Haven Citywide Field House next to Hill House High School, 480 Sherman Parkway, New Haven, CT.
