(WTNH) - Fix My House contest reveals a family’s finished basement.

Contest winner, Marlise Pagano and Colin Shaw talk about the renovation.

This is the second Fix My House project for Shaw Remodeling and CT style.

The Pagano family entered the contest in memory of the Captain Joseph Pagano Jr.

Captain Pagano, 52, was a 28 year veteran of the Middletown Fire Department when he died Friday November 3, 2006. Joseph was working at the Cross Street fire station in the early evening when he collapsed at his desk from an apparent heart attack.
