(WTNH) - What is Reiki:
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing that treats the whole person. It is the Japanese term for the energy found within all living things. “Rei” means universal and “Ki” means “life force energy.” Reiki passed from the practitioner to the recipient through the practitioner’s hands. Reiki brings balance and maintains health and well-being. Reiki is a natural way to heal the body as it encourages the body’s healing response. It is not intended to take the place of appropriate medical or psychological care.
How is Reiki Performed:
The practitioner acts as a channel for the Reiki and transfers it to the recipient through the hands. Reiki is done with the hands on the body or a few inches off the persons body. Recipients may feel heat from the Reiki practitioners hands and a sense of calm. The practitioner uses a variety of techniques to give Reiki to others.

• Deep relaxation
