(WTNH) - Pilates isn't the typical "no pain, no gain" form of exercise (which is what men usually seek in exercise). It is nuanced and subtle. It forces you to listen to your body. This close listening leads to flexibility, increased breath capacity, concept of balance helps with sport-specific training, core isn't just "abs" it is also for the back. (among other things!)

Sarah Aldrich Pilates opened as a one-woman shop back in January 2009, and now have a bigger, lovely studio in the heart of downtown New Haven. Our team of instructors offers both group and private instruction on mats as well as Classical Pilates equipment such as the Reformer.

  • Valentine's Week we are offering a free mat class to whoever brings their "partner" or loved one with them who is new to the studio
  • 50% off gift certificates which can be used toward any package
  • March is Men's month at SAP where we'll be offering private sessions to new male clients for only $40.
