Hearty Italian Frittata

Published : Tuesday, 16 Oct 2012, 11:39 AM EDT

Cindy Anschutz is in our Kitchen to talk aboiut the launch of her first cookbook, " Cindy's Kitchen " and shows us how to prepare a feature breakfast recipe from the book, Hearty Italian Frittata.

After years of working in a broad range of careers including, technical support, software project management and recruiting, Cindy decided to pursue her culinary dreams. Cindy’s Kitchen is her first cookbook and a huge step toward solidifying her cooking career.

Cindy’s passion for cooking started when she was a young girl. She began making dishes and creating her own recipes as soon as she could reach the counter in her Nana’s kitchen. Together, Cindy and her grandmother over the years would spend hours creating delicious meals each day and the “masterpieces” were served to the entire family for Sunday dinner.

Cindy’s Kitchen cookbook represents a collection of recipes, ideas, and tips from a variety of sources. Cindy drew upon those years as a mother of two, her Italian heritage and most of all-memories of the time spent in Nana’s kitchen.

With both of her children grown, this mother and grandmother of two spends much of her time in her large country kitchen in Marlborough Connecticut, whipping up new recipes, often times with an audience of her husband Glenn and their Jack Russell Terrier, Jake.

Cindy loves to entertain and share her entertaining tips with her followers on Facebook , her weekly blog and in her monthly newsletter .
