Grace Brady, Executive Director of Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University ( www.ighm.org ), was in the studio to share some of the museum’s fascinating artworks on the history of the Irish Famine.
The collection began over 10 years ago and was housed in the Lender Family Special Collection Room in the Arnold Bernhard Library on the main campus. As the collection increased a museum building was needed to house and display it. Since the opening, over 4500 visitors, including over 15 groups, have come to the museum. Groups include school groups, retirement community groups and various Irish club groups.
