(WTNH) -- Amy Becker, Erin Wentzell, and Ryan Wentzell talk about the JDRF Fundraiser at Ladybug Boutique.
Ladybug Boutique sells predominately Made in America and Made in Connecticut items. The store also tries to help the community as much as possible with fundraising events.
The fundraiser to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will be on Saturday, August 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ladybug Boutique, located at 122 College Street in Middletown.
A portion of the proceeds from in-store and on-line sales will be donated to JDRF in support of Ryan, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was just 3-years-old.
More than 15,000 children are diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes each year and there are currently approximately 3 million Americans living with Type 1 diabetes. JDRF is investing the money they raise to educate, prevent, and find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
Check out http://www.ladybugboutique.net to learn more about the store, or visit http://www.jdrf.org/ to make a donation.
We want you to be a part of Good Morning Connecticut. Send us a video greeting!
