(WTNH) -- Maggie’s Guitar performs on Stage 8.
The band Maggie’s Guitar was formed by Ron and Margaret Gletherow in 2005. They were joined by Steve Fagin a year later, then Mike Bailey the following year.
The band plays both originals and cover songs in a variety of styles ranging from simple folk to soft rock.
They have produced 2 CD's, the first called simply, "Maggie's Guitar" and the second called "Who Do We Think We Are."
The band will be performing at "The Jim Croce Story", a celebration of his life and music, at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, taking place at 8 p.m. on Friday September 21st. Maggie's Guitar will be joined on stage by Ian, Duncan and Aiden Maxwell of the local, CT band, "Silver Hammer", plus special guest Mike DiBenedetto, one of Jim Croce's closest college friends and first musical partner.
