(WTNH) - New Haven Chorale sings Christmas music.
This is the 62nd Season for the Chorale founded by Alden Hammond.
The Chorale was founded in 1950 and modeled after Robert Shaw’s Collegiate Chorale.
The New Haven Chorale actively participates in the rich cultural life of the greater New Haven area.
The Chorale, under its music director Edward Bolkovac, regularly performs with the choruses and symphony orchestra of The Hartt School, and also collaborates with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, The Trinity Boys’ Choir, The Heritage Chorale, The Yale Glee Club, and The Yale Camerata.
Recent performance venues of the New Haven Chorale include Yale’s Battell Chapel and Woolsey Hall, The Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford, Trinity Lutheran Church, as well as East Haven High School. The New Haven Chorale Chamber Choir is formed from members of the New Haven Chorale and is available to sing at various occasions in more intimate settings.
