(WTNH) - If you’re not in the Christmas spirit yet, this might help!
This is the North Pole Village at Geer Village in Canaan which is a senior living facility. It’s been a tradition for years and gets bigger each Decemeber.
Bertha Riva, who’s 88 and lives at Geer Village and overseas the village, she turns it on and off each night.
She has some help from her two children, Mickey Riva and Nancy Dufour with setting up along with Leslie Sheldon, who each have their own jobs.
There are four train sets that weave through the village.
There are sledders and skiers and skaters, which are all animated and get this, a box car full of presents, an elf mobile and the jolly trolley.
Its takes several days to set up, but visitors and residents love it and look forward to it each year, so it’s worth it!
Thanks to Brandon Dufour and his great grandmother Bertha for letting us know all about the the North Pole Village.
