(WTNH) -- Operation Save a Life has kicked off in Connecticut.
Operation Save a Life is a program sponsored by The Home Depot , Kidde and News 8. The Home Depot has a commitment to empowering local communities. One of the ways they do this is through free how-to clinics and store events.
October is Fire Safety Month, and The Home Depot will be hosting fire safety clinics at stores nationwide every Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
The Home Depot will also be sharing valuable safety tips at Safety Saturday Event on October 6th from 9-3 p.m. at the following participating stores:
NORWALK, 600 Connecticut Ave.
FAIRFIELD, 541 Kings Hwy Cut-off
MANCHESTER, 80 Buckland Hills Dr.
DANBURY, 114 Federal Rd.
WEST HARTFORD, 503 New Park Ave
WATERBURY, 575 Bank St.
ENFIELD, 136 Elm St.
GLASTONBURY, 115 Putnam Blvd.
Also on October 6, The Home Depot will host a free kids workshop for children ages 5 to 12, also focusing on fire safety. Children can stop by from 9-noon and accompanied by an adult, use their skills to create objects that can be used in and around their homes or communities. Kids workshops occur the first Saturday of each month.
