Bonnie Buongiorne, Founder and President of the Ray of Light Farm in East Haddam stopped by the studio with a friend of hers, Cammie the Llama! Bonnie and Cammie wanted to spread the word about the wonderful happenings taking place at the farm.
Ray of Light Farm is a non-profit animal rescue and animal-assisted therapy center committed to helping people make a positive connection with life through their animals. It’s a place for children of all ages who are looking for a sense of well-being through community with nature. They aspire to be a “healing presence in a wounded world”.
They also invite everyone to get into the holiday spirit with them at their 6 th annual Winder Wonderland event taking place on two nights in December, the 1 st and the 8 th. Be sure to check out their website for full details: www.rayoflightfarm.org .
As a non-profit organization, the Ray of Light Farm relies heavily on donations to support the care of animals, including food, water, bedding, shelter, and veterinary costs. With a current residency of nearly 150 animals (including over 50 horses), operating the farm is a full time effort and labor of love. It requires contributions from dozens of community sponsors, volunteers, and caring citizens like you. To make a donation, or to find out how you can get involved, visit their website at www.rayoflightfarm.org .
We want you to be a part of Good Morning Connecticut. Send us a video greeting!
