(WTNH) -- Ty Skarzynski talks about the Ride To Honor and Enable Project.
Skarzynski is a Connecticut resident and a veteran teacher at Hillhouse H.S. in New Haven.
He is currently earning his Master's degree from Quinnipiac University's interactive media program. His focus for his capstone project is on bringing attention to the issues facing disabled veterans.
He did it by launching a cross country Ride-a-thon (CT to CA) during which he used social media to raise awareness about the cause and raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit organization that provides a variety of programs and services for injured vets.
Ride to Honor and Enable is a coast to coast motorcycle ride to benefit disabled veterans. All donations are for the Wounded Warrior Project.
