Stage 8 Presents: Daniel Roumain

Daniel Roumain, often referred to as the “hip hop violinist”, was on stage 8 to demonstrate his unique style as a violist and composer.

Daniel has teamed up with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and for one week he and the NHSO musicians will be in residence at David Street Arts and Academics School in Fair Haven, juxtaposing hip hop and orchestral music.  By focusing on multiple genres and techniques, students will compose their own works and present them at community concerts with the NHSO Contemporary Ensemble.
