Tattooing for a chance at big money

(WTNH) -- A reality competition gives tattoo artists a chance at winning a large cash prize for inking others up.

From all around the country, 16 up and coming tattoo artists are battling it out for a $100,000 cash prize, plus bragging rights for the title of "Ink Master."

It's all part of Spike TV's reality competition.

Steve Tefft is the owner of and artist at 12 Tattoos in Groton and he is one of those contestants. 12 Tattoos is located at 565 Long Hill Road in Groton.

Season two of "Ink Master" premiers on Spike TV on Tuesday, October 9th at 10 p.m. ET.
