The Food Drive at Walker Rink

(WTNH) - The Ralph Walker Ice Rink will be hosting a food drive on Sunday November 20th from 2-6pm. Anyone who brings food donations or a monetary donation of at least $5.00 can get a pair of our rental skates and skate for free.

The food is given to Christopher Martin's for their annual Thanksgiving Day Open Door, where over 500 people are fed a complete traditional Thanksgiving meal, served at white linen covered tables by their staff, who volunteer their time.

Monetary Donations are given to New Haven Soup Kitchen to support their efforts.

The Walker Rink is one of the only places where families, friends, and the community can get together all winter long and get some exercise and recreation in New Haven at affordable prices.
