The special needs of felines

(WTNH) - Hope Alliance educates about the special needs of felines.

The organization began in 1992 by doing "rescue & placement." In 1999 through a horrific situation Lisa Mary Ruoppolo became involved in, she began my work with special needs cats. She became aware that this was an area where even more help was needed & less was available.

Animals can help people to heal from emotional and physical abuse. There is an enormous need for care for special needs cats. Hope Alliance receives approx 6-10 requests daily to take in cats with special requirements. Ruoppolo also has a strong desire to expand to include developing a program to promote healing to survivors of domestic violence.
