(WTNH) - The Toy Closet Program brings joy to hospitalized children and their families.

Founded in 1993 by Ann Nyberg, WTNH News 8 anchorwoman, the Toy Closet helps insure that pediatric patients come away from their hospitalization with a pleasant memory.

In addition, the toys serve as gifts for special occasions such as birthdays and holidays.

Mail correspondence, monetary donations and gifts to:

Toy Closet Program
Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary
20 York St.
New Haven, CT 06510-3202

Delivery of donated new, unwrapped toys are accepted by calling the Auxiliary office. Larger donations are now received at an alternate location.
