Women and Families Center: A Night to Remember

Monica Melchionni, Board Member of the Women and Families Center ( www.womenfamilies.org ) was in the studio with Lynn Malerba, Chief of the Mohegan Tribe, and Nicole Zuraitis, a Singer and Songwriter; to talk about their upcoming benefit event taking place on April 5 th at Saint Clements Castle in Portland, Connecticut.

The Women and Families Center is a multi-faceted human service agency providing services throughout Middlesex County and the Greater New Haven area.  They offer a variety of enrichment and support programs for both youths and adults, as well as some confidential services for victims of abuse and sexual assault.

The guiding vision of the Women and Families Center is to be the leading agent for positive social change.  They are committed to promoting equality and to improving the quality of life through services that foster empowerment and independence.
