(WTNH) -- Wild Wednesday with Woodcock Nature Center .
The Woodcock Nature Center is a private, non-profit resource for environmental education serving schools, youth and families in Southwestern Connecticut since 1972.
Located on 149 acres of state-protected land, the Woodcock Preserve includes a pond, wetlands, and 4 miles of publicly accessible woodland trails. The Education Center is home to a variety of rescued or injured local and exotic creatures, snakes, frogs, lizards, and birds of prey.
A full-time, professional staff supports classroom-outreach, on-site field trips, and our extremely popular young naturalist day-camps. Woodcock Nature Center touches thousands each year, both young and old alike, and enriches and informs our essential connection to nature.
