Milford, Conn. (WTNH) - Milford Superintendent Harvey Polansky is facing sexual harassment charges. When it comes to determining his fate, school officials are shutting the doors and keeping information tight-lipped.
Parents revealed they want to know what is going on and are tired of the waiting games.
And so they waited for almost two hours to learn; but it seems they are going to have to wait a little longer.
"It's almost a cut and dry kind of thing. The man broke the contract, the man should leave. You know what I mean?" said parent Patti Gamborin.
Milford's Board of Education held a special closed door meeting to discuss a settlement between the district and Superintendent Dr. Polansky; he's accused of sexual assaulting two principals, allegedly "hugging and kissing them," and has been on paid leave since November.
"This is unacceptable behavior. It just is. You know that, you knew that going in, what was he thinking?" said Gamborin.
Stone-faced, the board took their seats and issued a statement and nothing more.
"The parties have reached an agreement, it will take us approximately a week to finalize the details and place it on our board agenda for approval. Accordingly the hearings scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled for Thursday, March 25th," said Dr. Mark Stapleton of the Milford Board of Education.
And so some anxious, angry parents must wait a little longer to see exactly what kind of settlement the embattled school leader will get.
"I don't understand why the people of Milford have been so quiet about it; they should be rallying. All of a sudden he was terminated," said Gamborin.
