Bloomfield (WTNH) - Union members are meeting with Pratt and Whitney officials today to talk about the possible downsizing announced earlier in the week.

In the morning officials discussed the closure of the Cheshire plant and this afternoon was reserved for discussing the closure of a maintenance facility at the East Hartford plant.

Closing the plants could mean 1,000 Pratt and Whitney employees losing their jobs.

Company officials says they'll announce more details at a press conference slated for Saturday.
