Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - More than 100 people in Connecticut got their pink slips today from Aetna as part of the company's nationwide staff reduction that was first announced in November.
About 625 positions will be eliminated nationwide.
A spokesperson for the company says the layoffs are based on declining membership and the poor state of the economy. Most employees will receive a severance.
