MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (AP) — Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced the appointment of a casino management specialist to direct and coordinate facility maintenance, rehabilitation and capital construction projects at the Indian-run casino in eastern Connecticut.

The casino, owned by the Mashantucket tribe, announced on Friday the appointment of Richard Emmons as vice president of engineering and projects.

He previously worked at Wynn Resorts in Macau, China. Foxwoods said he also worked at Harrah's, Bally's, Hilton and other resorts and casinos.

Foxwoods completed a major expansion in 2008 with the 30-story MGM Grand hotel and casino.
