WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Wallingford based organization stepped up to get people in the community back to work.
On Monday, the Spanish Community of Wallingford, also known as SCOW, held it's first career fair.
It featured a wide range of positions in fields like healthcare, transportation, education and manufacturing.
Organizers say they held the event to respond to the needs of the community.
"Every single day we have companies contacting us looking for qualified employees and at the same time every single day we have clients coming in looking for jobs," said Maria Harlow. "Thought that it was a no brainer to bring together everybody and give them a opportunity to meet and to hopefully make some good matches."
SCOW also helped job seekers create and update their resumes, as well as prepare for an interview.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
