Malloy marks grand opening of firm's headquarters

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and other state officials are marking the grand opening of the new national headquarters for a home health benefits management firm that's receiving assistance under Connecticut's "First Five" economic development program.

CareCentrix outgrew its space in East Hartford and the company is now moving into its new corporate headquarters on Church Street in Hartford. A ceremony is planned Friday morning.

Under a deal announced last June, the company receives $24 million in state grants over five years if it complies with keeping the firm's current staff levels — about 240 people — and adds an additional 300 positions by 2017.

The jobs range from executive level positions to call center staff.

CareCentrix works with a network of 7,000 homecare providers, serving more than 30 million people.
