New Milford, Conn. (WTNH) - The fire marshal has determined the cause of a fire at the Kimberly-Clark plant in New Milford.

The plant produces a number of paper products including tissues and paper towels.

The fire broke out around 7am on Sunday and took firefighters about five hours to bring it under control.  There were about two dozen people working at the plant at the time, but everyone got out safely.

Investigators say an exposed wire caused an electrical arc which then ignited paper lint and the mineral oils used to lubricate the machines.
