HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The charitable foundation of the late actor Paul Newman has given a $125,000 grant to the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network to train returning war veterans.

The broadcasting network says the grant from Newman's Own Foundation will be used to provide workforce development training to returning veterans who face high unemployment in Connecticut.

Connecticut Public Broadcasting says it will launch the program in February. It will provide education and training workshops for certification in web and graphic design and video editing.
