HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman is representing the state on Connecticut Day at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass.
Wyman is scheduled on Wednesday to tour the Connecticut Building and greet visitors at the Big E. She will also lead the Connecticut parade, which kicks off at 5 p.m.
The Big E is the largest fair in the Northeast and it runs until Sept. 30. There are replicas of each of the New England states' capitol buildings on the fairgrounds. All are located along the Avenue of the States.
States often use the venues to showcase their agricultural offerings, various products and foods.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy represented the state at last year's Connecticut Day.
