HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — High school students in Branford will get an up-close lesson in Connecticut's court system.
The Connecticut Appellate Court will hear arguments in a civil and criminal case at Branford High School on Thursday. It's part of the court's annual "On Circuit" program.
The educational initiative began 16 years ago and is intended to provide students, teachers and the public with a greater understanding of the court and its role and procedures. The arguments, which are open to the public, will occur at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the high school's auditorium.
