DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- People make pilgrimages for a variety of reasons, in search of something bigger, something meaningful, something memorable. The quest for life's answers made a stop in a large auditorium in Danbury.

"Most of the problem, which we are facing, is our own creation," the Dali Lama said.
In a harsh political landscape weeks before an election, many from this flock, flocked here in search of good news, and simply, a good feeling about life.
"He always has beautiful messages and beautiful energy and I'm just happy to be in his presence," Betsy Ritchie, of Danbury said.
Life's answers are rarely found in one sitting, even in front of one of the most revered spiritual leaders on the globe, but at least for an hour or two, the troubled world in which we live, seemed to make a bit more sense.
