(WTNH) -- A Darien man was killed in a helicopter crash in Pennsylvania that was returning from a golf outing.
There were three people aboard the aircraft and Tighe Sullivan, the front seat passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen around 4:30 a.m.
The pilot William Ellsworth from Califon, New Jersey was also pronounced dead at the scene and Stephen Barral, the back seat passenger, from Bernardsville, NJ, was transported to Pocono Medical Center and then transferred to Lehigh Valley.
The helicopter crashed around 8 p.m. Tuesday night on PA State Game Land and came to rest in the town of Coolbaugh, close to Rt. 380.
Sargeant Scott Dunlap from the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Dept. located the aircraft at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
