HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell says more Federal Emergency Management Agency centers are opening in the state to help home and business owners affected by the severe flooding in March get disaster aid.
Officials are scheduled on Saturday to open new disaster recovery centers at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, the North Haven campus of Gateway Community College and the Killingworth Fire Department.
An aid center at the Groton Senior Center opened Thursday, and one at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich opened Friday.
Rell says the centers will be open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Sundays. She's urging people to register before visiting the centers by calling FEMA at 800-621-3362.
