HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Gov. M. Jodi Rell is urging Connecticut residents and business owners to help officials back the state's claim for federal help for flooding in March.
Gov. Rell says affected residents and business owners in Fairfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London and Windham counties should report damage to the state's information line at 211.
The state says that since data collection was announced April 29, more than 1,700 residents and businesses have reported storm damage. Data will be collected through 6 p.m. Friday.
Connecticut is appealing the federal government's rejection of financial assistance for individuals and businesses who were affected by the storms.
