(WTNH) - All post offices nationwide will be open Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24th, but most will shorten retail lobby hours and close at noon.
Postal officials note that mail delivery for December 24th is not affected by the change.
Across the Connecticut Valley District of the Postal Service, post offices listed will remain open until 3 p.m.:
-Western Massachusetts:
· Holyoke - Ingleside Mall Station
· Springfield - 1883 Main Street
· Pittsfield - 212 Fenn Street
-Connecticut:
· Manchester Post Office --- 111 Sheldon Road
· Enfield Post Office - 31 Palomba Drive
· Hartford Main Post Office - 1414 Weston Street
· Willimantic Main Post Office - 919 Main Street
· New Haven Main Post Office - 50 Brewery Street
· Waterbury Main Post Office - 135 Grand Street
The Postal Service's retail operation at the Bradley Air Mail Facility will open on Christmas Eve from 10 AM until 5 PM.
Revised hours are posted at each Post Office or customers may call 1-800-ASK-USPS for information about specific Post Offices.
Commercial customers are asked to check with their Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit for December 24 hours of operation. In addition, mail should be deposited into blue collection mailboxes before noon for early pick-up on Dec. 24 to secure same-day processing and postmarking.
All Post Offices will be closed Friday, December 25.
Express Mail only will be delivered on Christmas Day in major metropolitan areas. Normal postal retail operations and full delivery will resume on Saturday, December 26 at all facilities.
The Postal Service's Connecticut Valley District includes 423

in Western Massachusetts' Pioneer Valley.
