Trooper, driver hurt in wrong-way crash on I-95 Northbound

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) -- A wrong-way driver and a Connecticut state trooper were injured in a crash on I-95 in Bridgeport Thursday night.

The incident closed the northbound side of the highway between Exits 25-28 for a time.

According to police, John Mysliwiec of Shelton was driving south in the northbound lanes when he struck a cruiser driven by Trooper Gregory Lebeau, and then another car.

Mysliwiec suffered broken ribs and a head injury.

Trooper Lebeau was responding to an unrelated crash when he was hit. He suffered head and arm injuries.

Charges are expected to be filed against Mysliwiec.
